Blue Submarine No. 6

Global warming has caused the oceans to flood much of Earth, and the remnants of humanity survive with the aid of submarine fleets against the attacks of a disgraced scientist who has engineered hybrid ocean creatures as an army. Reluctant veteran pilot Tetsu Hayami must come to terms with his past and the nature of their half-human enemies before a final confrontation ends the war. This pioneering OVA blends traditional cel animation with early CG to stunning effect.
