Watch Parties: Guests Can Now Ask the Host

In a Kurono watch party the host keeps everyone in sync: play, pause, seeking and the next episode all go through them, while every guest keeps their own volume, quality and subtitles. That also meant guests had no say at all. Need a break? Too bad.

What guests can ask for

• Pause or resume.
• Skip 85 seconds, for that opening you have heard twelve times.
• Go to the next episode.
• Watch a completely different show or movie, picked from search.

The host gets one tap to accept or decline. A request the host does not answer expires after 90 seconds.

Chat in fullscreen

When you go fullscreen, the party chat now sits on the right side of the screen, just like on Twitch, so you can keep talking without leaving the video.

Requests work in parties for series. Movie parties do not have them yet.
