Manga Chapters Can Now Be Read Aloud

Open a chapter on Kurono and tap the speaker icon. Read aloud recognises the text in the speech bubbles and reads them to you, from the page you are on to the end of the chapter.

Built for manga

• Bubbles are read in manga order: right to left, panel by panel.
• The bubble being read is outlined in orange while the rest of the page dims.
• A small player shows the current line, with speed, previous and next bubble, and stop.
• Pages are turned for you, in both the paged and the long strip reader.
• Text recognition runs in your own browser, and only starts once you open Read aloud.

Text recognition is not perfect. Slanted or very small lettering can be misread or skipped.
